ON GOING DOWN IN A GROUP OF PERIODIC TABLE THERE IS NO CHANGE IN NATIRE OF OXIDE EXPLAIN WHY?​

because the valency remains the same

so the number of valence electrons also be the same

thus the formula of oxides is not affected

While moving down the group, the metallic character of elements increases. Metals form basic oxides.

When its an element of group 13 - 18, it has a tendency to have more of non metallic character ( since, metallic character decreases left to right across a period). Those elements form acidic oxides (non metals).

Therefore, on going down a group of periodic table, there is no change in nature of oxide of elements.
