AMMONIUM CARBONATE is a colorless crystalline solid or a white powder with a strong odor  Color. Physical description - color. Colorless crystalline powder. Lide, D.R. CRC  Ammonium salts are heated with calcium carbonate. Behavior in Fire: Decomposes, but reaction is not explosive.  Wash and dry hands.
