Ahoy user!!
The answer to your query!!

Here's the balanced equation:-

2FeSO4--(heat)---> Fe2O3 + SO2+ SO3

here's the elaboration:-
When green coloured crystals of ferrous sulphate (FeSO4) is heated , it decomposes to form Ferric Oxide (Fe2O3) ,sulphur trioxide (SO3) and sulphur dioxide( SO2) . The sulphur dioxide gas gives the odour smell.

This Reaction is an example of Thermal Decomposition Reaction.

hope this helps!
Good day! Cheers!^_^
