in this poem the poet is very sad as he become blind he is sorry as he will not be able to serve God by writing poems. the poet used to think that his mission of life was to serve God by writing poems. is he could not do so he became very sorry after becoming blind the whole world appeared to him dark and wide. he generally used to think that he could not served his master by writing poems. he wished to serve God in the best possible way so that he might not rebuke him after his death on the day of judgement when he would be replacing the account of his life before him.
further the poet does not feel himself at ease. he murmurs how God can expect him to work when he has taken away his eyesight. but afterwards his Murmur disappears. he becomes satisfied with his lot. patience points out that God is great. he does not require Man's work or his talent for his purpose. he is also very merciful. he has punished man for his sin very lightly. it is therefore his duty to wear his Yoke mildly. it is not proper to grumble. the poet is very sad. he doubts on God's justice. it is unjust on his path to expect hard labour from a blind man. his strong faith removes his doubt. at last he realises that god is very great and he has no need of any men's work or his talent. many angels are always ready to obey him. they are very eager to carry out his orders without taking rest. in the end of the story he says that the people who do not grumble about the difficulties serve him best.
