On his way back from school Salim found an abandoned puppy crying on the road. Saddened at his condition, he brought the puppy home. He did not want to tell his father about it as his father did not like dogs. The reason was that because of the infection caused by the dog bite, Salim's grandfather had died. From that day onward Salim's father started to hate dogs. Salim didn't want to hurt his father's feelings but he was also not able to leave the puppy as it is. Salim went to his father and told everything about the scene. His father thought about this rationally and allowed him to keep the puppy. He became very happy to know that.
