So when an iron nail is dipped in a solution of CuSO4, it displaces copper from the Solution, which gets deposited or precipitated as a red or red-brown residue. Also the blue colour of the solution gradually fades. Ultimately the solution becomes pale green in colour due to the formation of ferrous sulphate

on immersing the Brown coloured iron nail in blue coloured copper sulphate solution they displace COPPER from the copper sulphate solution and their colour become LIGHT GREEN of solution and colour of iron nail become REDDISH BROWN.
=======================
these happens as iron is more reactive than copper due to which iron displace copper as a result copper get deposited on iron nail and it's colour changes to reddish Brown and also colour of copper sulphate solution changes to light green from blue.
Hope it helps.
