importance of osmosis and reverse osmosis.

  • Osmosis is a method phenomenon in which the fluid or molecules of the solvent can pass through the semipermeable membrane leaving behind the dust and other solutes present in the solvent.
  • The solvent that passes through the membrane and received on the other side will be cleaner and  will be pure then it was before. This method is very important as it allows retention of fluid or water in the body that possesses the membrane.
  • The only difference from before would be the density of the solvent which would be higher.
  • Reverse osmosis is a phenomenon opposite in nature. The fluid on the solvent that is received after passing through the membrane is much more cleaner than it is in the method of osmosis but the fluid received is of lower density hence the fluidity is maintained.
