\Huge{\underline{\underline{\mathfrak{ Solution \colon }}}}

Let the oringinal salary of man be x

Increased salary of man = 25 % of x + x

\text{ = }  \frac{25}{100 }  \times \:  \text{x \:  + x \: }

\text{ = } \:  \frac{x}{4}  +  \text{x}

\text{ = } \:  \frac{ \:\text{x}+ 4 \text{x} }{4}

 =  \frac{5 \:\text{x}}{4}

According to the Question

New salary = 20000

 \frac{5   \:\: \text{x}}{4}  = 20000

5\text{ x} \:  =  20000 \times 4

\text{x} \:  =  \frac{80000}{5}   \:

\text{x} = 16000

Therefore the oringinal salary of man is 16000

Answer:

\large\boxed{\sf{Rs.\:16000}}

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the initial salary is ₹ x

Increment in the salary = 25% of x

.°. New salary = ₹ ( x + 25% of x )

But, it's given that new salary = ₹ 20000

Therefore, we will get

 =  > x +  \frac{25}{100}  x = 20000 \\  \\  =  > x +  \frac{x}{4}  = 20000 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{5x}{4}  = 20000 \\  \\  =  > x = 20000   \times  \frac{4}{5}  \\  \\  =  > x = 4000 \times 4 \\  \\  =  > x = 16000

Hence, original salary = ₹ 16000
