Given : a*b = a+2b

To Find : 2*(3*4)=

Solution:

a*b = a+2b

2*(3*4)

Lets 1st solve

3*4

a = 3

b = 4

=> 3*4  = 3 + 2(4)

=> 3*4  = 3 + 8

=> 3*4  = 11

Hence

2*(3*4)  = 2 * 11

a = 2

b = 11

2 * 11   = 2 + 2(11)

=> 2 * 11   = 2 + 22

=>2 * 11   = 24

Hence  2*(3*4)  = 24

it does not matter which one is solved 1st

2*(3*4)

= 2 + 2 ((3*4) )

= 2 ( 1 + (3*4) )

= 2 ( 1 + (3 + 2(4)))

= 2 (1  + 3 + 8 )

= 2 (12)

= 24
