on map distance between two points is 15 cm. the real distance between them is 20 km. draw a diagonal scale of this map to read km and hectometer to measure upto 30km. show the distance 24.8 km on scale. please solve the problem.​

fst you need to find the total length of the scale

which gonna be

l= RF x (maximum length you wanna mes.)

here RF is representative factor which is the ratio of dimensions on map to real dimensions

and then you need to construct a diagonal scale which looks like the above pinned image

divide the total length of scale into desired no of equal parts and then further divide the first division

so the proportionality don't change.

L proportional to (maximum length you wanna mes.))

L/n in cm proportional to (max)/n in Km

ie. per division represent this much distance in real

same for the further division.
