The equation for the above chemical reaction is,

               Na2SO4    +    BaCl2       ->        2NaCl        +        BaSO4

When Sodium sulphate reacts with barium chloride, an insoluble precipitate of BaSO4 is seen to have formed which is white in colour.

This is an example of double displacement reaction, as the radicals of the reactant compounds switch themselves to form product compounds.
