Well there will be not much change in the pH value of the soda water as the CO2 which comes out is the excess amount which is not dissolved in the solution

As CO2 is a non metallic oxide when it dissolves with water it forms a acidic solution which has a pH value of less than 7.

zetabytexx: the gas which is already dissolved due to high pressure comes out as carbonated water.
dilip30: so why will the pH increase...??
zetabytexx: no the pH will not increase it will remain constant as the dissolved CO2 had already formed a homogeneous acidic solution.
dilip30: what??? I read somewhere it increases...
zetabytexx: No man CO2 when dissolved with water forms Carbonic acid which obviously is an acid
zetabytexx: and Acids have always pH less than 7
