Solution:

On purchasing a bar of chocolate, the shopkeeper gives four eclairs free

On purchasing a bar of chocolate and eight eclairs, the shopkeeper gives additional five eclairs free

This can be written as   a bar of chocolate   + 4 eclairs free

+ 8 eclairs  +  1 eclairs free

8 eclairs  get 1 eclairs free

Hence  32 eclairs will get  4  eclairs free

=> 1 a bar of chocolate  is  eclairs free

Hence 1 a bar of chocolate  = 32 eclairs

32 is the correct answer.
