Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let actual price of potato be x

Original qty bought be q

So, we have

q.x = 360....(1)

Now we have

New price = 3/4 (x)

New qty = q + 7.5

So we get

[q + 7.5] 3/4 (x) = 360....(2)

Equating (1) and (2) we get

[q + 7.5] 3/4 (x) = qx

[q + 7.5] 3/4 = q

q + 7.5 = 4/3 q

4/3 q - q = 7.5

4/3 q - 3/3 q = 7.5

1/3 q = 7.5

q = 7.5 (3) = 22.5 kg

Putting this in (1) we get

(22.5) x = 360

x = 360 ÷ 22.5

x = 16

Therefore actual price of potato is Rs. 16
