Answer:

\huge\color{purple}{A.T.Q.......}

Let C.P. of the chair be  Rs. x and that f the table be Rs. y

Then ,17% of y - 7%  f x =  296      ⇒   17y-7x=29600........(i)

and   12% of y + 7%  of x

 =  400      ⇒  12y+7x =  40000...........(ii)

Solving  (i) and (ii) , we et  :  y = 2400 and  x =  1600

∴  C.p of table = 2400

Answer:

If he sells the chair at 7% gain and the table at 12%gain then he gains rupees 400 the actual price of the table is rupees 2400.

Step-by-step explanation:

On selling a chair at 7 % loss and table at 17% gain , a man gains rupees 296.

If he sells the chair at 7% gain and the table at 12% gain then he gains rupees 400.

Let price of table is x and chair is y .

17x-7y = 29600

12x+7y = 40000

Therefore 29x = 69600.

or , x = 69600/29 .

or , x = 2400 .
