Given:

  • On selling an exhaust fan for 7350 , a man gains 1/6 of its cost price.

To find:

  • Cost Price of the fan

Solution:

  • Let the cost price of fan be x

 \sf \pink{According \: To \: Question,} \ \\ \tt \color {pink} Gain = \ x \times \frac{1}{6} \\ \tt \color{lime}\: Hence, \: Selling \: Price \: of \: Fan \\ \sf \: = x + x \times \frac{1}{6} \\ = x \times \frac{7}{6} \\ \tt \color{magenta} {According \: to \: question,} \\ \pink{ x \times \frac{7}{6}} \\ \color{plum} Rs.7350 \\ \implies \color{cyan} \: x = 7350 \times \frac{6}{7} \\ \color{red} \implies \: x = 1050 \times 6 \\ \mathscr \color{orange}Hence ,\: C.p = Rs.6300
