In northern hemisphere, winter begins in December Twenty first. This is called winter solstice. The day is shorter and nights are long and days have a minimum day light.

Summer begins in June Twenty first and it is called summer solstice. It has the lengthiest day and the days are sizzling hot. Spring and fall begin on equinoxes and the day and night’s duration is equal.

The spring equinox falls in March twenty and autumnal Equinox falls in September Twenty third. In June, the earth is tilted towards the sun and hence days are hot.
