CO2 is dissolved in carbonated drinks , under pressure. CO2 reacts with water to form carbonic acid . When cola bottle is shaken , due to pressure CO2 is set free as it breaks the bond present in carbonated water , however when pressure becomes normal it ( CO2 ) dissolves with water to form carbonic acid again.
