          -5/x + 3y = 6.......(ii)

By adding equation (i) and equation (ii)

5/x + 6y - 5/x + 3y = 3 + 6

9y = 9

So y = 1

Putting value of y in equation (i)

5/x + 6 = 3

5/x = -3

So x = -5/3

Values of x and y are -5/3 and 1 respectively.
