distributed increases by 34.4%, the number of

assume children = 100

total number of chocolates = 1000 then,

chocolates per child = 1000÷100

                                  = 10 chocolates

after increase of children 12% we get,

children = 112

after increase in total no of chocolates 34.4% we get,

chocolates = 1344 now,

chocolates per child = 1344÷112

                                  = 12 chocolates

so to find increase in chocolates per child, we need to substitute in formula

Percent Increase:$$\frac{\text {New}-\text {Original}}{\text {Original}} \times 100$$

                          = $$\frac{\text {12}-\text {10}}{\text {10}} \times 100$$

                          = $$\frac{\text 2}{\text {10}} \times 100$$
