Hey there!

In order to find The maximum no. Of unpaired electrons ..we will first write their electronic configuration :

• Na+ ---> 1s2, 2s2, 2p6

• Mg+2 ----> 1s2 ,2s2, 2p6

• Fe+2 ----> 1s2, 2s2, 2p6, 3s2, 3p6,
4s2, 3p4

• Fe+3 ----> 1s2 , 2s2, 2p6, 3s2, 3p6,
4s2, 3p3

Now , unpaired electrons in

¤ Na+ = 0
¤ Mg+2 = 0
¤ Fe+2 = 2
¤ Fe+3 = 3

So as clear from above... The maximum unpaired electrons are present in Fe+3

# hope it helps!
