Mode of transmission is considered as the way in which the disease is transmitted to a person. Disease is considered as any malfunctioning of the body or mind that destroys the good health of a living organism is called a disease. A particular disease can be identified through their characteristic symptoms. The disease can be transmitted from a particular person to another person through two ways. They are,

Direct contact – person to person contact and droplet spread.

Indirect contact – airborne transmission, contaminated objects, food and drinking water, animal to person contact, animal reservoirs, insect bites, environmental reservoirs.
