on the basis of molecular theory explain why a liquid can flow. it needs a vessel to contain.

Intramolecular forces have nothing to do with states of matter and their shape and size, but for information they exists within atoms or ions of same molecule. You might wonder why there is need of force to bind molecules. ... hence the molecules are not able to create definite shaped lattice. They flow like liquids.
