On the basis of origin, resources are classified into :

All the living organisms are classified biotic factors. The flora and fauna, fisheries, live stock and cattle.
⠀⠀⠀• Abiotic Factors
Biological non living materials and substances are termed as Abiotic Factors.
E.g., Land, Water, Air etc.
- Wood when a part of a living system like the bark of a tree is said to be Biotic.
- When the sad wood is cut for use, it is classified under Abiotic.
