The main differences between Plant and Animal tissues are as below.
1.) Plant tissues are able to manufacture their own food through photosynthesis, whereas animal tissues will depend on external sources for the production of food to obtain energy.
2.) There is a basic difference in the tissue structure with regards to cellular membrane, plastids - absent in animals. Cells of plants have cell walls but animal cells have only the cell membrane.
3.) Plant tissues are very much confined to growing at one place that is they undergo stationary growth, whereas animal tissues will move around to harness their growth potential that is dynamic growth.
