On the basis of drainage system of india ,the rive can be divided into two category : the Himalayan river and the peninsular river . Two features of Himalayan river are: they are perennial and they have long courses from their source to the sea and two features of peninsular river are: they are seasonal and they have shallower courses from their source to the sea
