Abraham Lincoln, A US president was born on 1809 in Northern Kentucky. His father was a wealthy farmer. When he was 7 they lost their land so they had no choice but to move to Indiana. Unfortunately when he was only 9 his mom died. Then he moved to Illinois. He loved to read. He studied law and became a lawyer in 1837. In his early political career he served in State Legislature, in the US. In 1860 he was nominated for President of United States. And in 1864 he was re-elected as President. Unfortunately on 15 April 1865 he was killed by John Wilkes Booth. He will always be remembered for wisdom, compassion and patriotism.
