Answer:

( a ) iii. 3 / 18      ( b ) iv. 18      ( c ) iii. 60         ( d ) iii. 30

Step-by-step explanation:

No. of students = 108

Students who had brown eyes = 5 / 9 = ( 5 * 108 ) / 9 = 5 * 12 = 60

Students who had blue eyes = 5 / 18 = (5 * 108) / 18 = ( 5 * 12 ) / 2 = 5 * 6 = 30

Students who had green eyes=108-remaining = 108 - 60 + 30 = 108 - 90 = 18

Now coming to the options

( a ) ( 5 / 9 ) + ( 5 / 18 ) + ( x ) = 1

    = 10 / 18 + 5 / 18 + x= 1

    = 15 / 18  + x = 1

    ( iii ) x = 3 / 18

( b ) ( iv ) 18                          ( Already answer given )

( c ) ( iii ) 60                          ( Already answer given )

( d ) ( iii ) 30                          ( Already answer given )
