On the beach why do your legs sink in dry sand while it does not sink in wet sand?

See,there can be two reasons:-

▶We already know that when area decreases pressure increases and also dry sand has less friction between it, therefore your legs sink in dry sand.

▶When we walk over wet sand :-
The particles of sand hold(stick) each other and attract each other because of 'surface tension'(which the scientists call 'interstitial liquid bridges formation'), therefore our feet doesn't sink.
