Solutions :-

Given :
The ratio of ducks to geese is 7 : 4

Let the number of ducks be 7x
Number of geese = 4x

According to the question,

=> 7x = 4x + 18
=> 7x - 4x = 18
=> 3x = 18
=> x = 18/3 = 6

Therefore,
Number of Ducks = 7x = 7 × 6 = 42
Number of Geese = 4x = 4 × 6 = 24

Hence,
The total number of ducks and geese are 42 and 24 respectively.
