A very good morning to respected Principal ma'am worthy teachers and all the students who have gathered here today. On the occasion of Children's Day, I feel privileged to talk about the importance of leisure in a student's life. Some people tend to find themselves with very little leisure time. I believe there are two main causes of this situation.
The first is parental pressure and the second is competitions in our educational system. Every parent wants to see his or her child doing well in school and go on to have a successful career. To achieve this, they might exert pressure on their children to spending hours each day styding at home. Some even arrange extra tuitions for their children. As a consequence, their leisure time is extremely limited and the pressure in them is considerable.
The second cause is related to the higher education system. Only high graded candidates are able to get good streams of studying for future. This contributes the pressure on teenagers, since they must study long hours to have any chance of success.
A solution for this is to aware parents of the effects of the pressure they put on their children. Too much pressure can lead to anxiety, stress and depression. Sometimes out of depression they take harmful steps as they have no courage to face their parents or even teachers. They should be shown ways in which they can help their a reasonable amount of leisure time. Another effective measure in order to grading system to the students so as to relieve them of stress and burden to come fast.
