Ours is a patriarchal society and in name of traditions a lot of bad things are done to the girls and nobody bates an eye. One of them is Female- foeticide. Girls are killed, nay murdered even before they are born and for what ? Because they think girls don't belongs to them. They will to marry her and gave dowry and then she will go to her husband's house. But people forgets that even to marry a boy you need a girl. Already the gender ratio is very disappointing and it's very sad that female-foeticide is carried even now, in so called modern India. We have to protest vehemently against it and spread the message that as a bird needs both wings to fly even so our society needs both genders to function properly.
