W = mg

then 400= 10m

mass = 400/10

= 40 kg.

on mountain,

360 = 40g

g = 9m/s square

Hey dear,

● Answer -
g' = 8.82 m/s^2

● Explanation -
# Given -
W = 400 N
W' = 360 N

# Solution -
Weight of man at earth surface is given by-
W = mg
m = W / g
m = 400 / 9.8
m = 40.82 kg

Weight of man at top of mountain is given by -
W' = mg'
g' = W' / m
g' = 360 / 40.82
g' = 8.82 m/s^2

Therefore, gravitational acceleration at top of mountain is 8.82 m/s^2.

Hope this helped...
