On The Water is an amazing poem in which the poet talks about the qualities of water and how it mesmerizes everyone.

Explanation:

• The poet describes all the natural elements surrounding the water. He begins the poem by describing his boat and how it glides into the water.

• Along with this, he expresses his joy by highlighting the beautiful day. He puts out a rhetorical question as well i.e. how can anyone not be delighted seeing this incredible day.  

• He explains the ripples of water, floating lilies, dragonflies, and fishes.  

• He ends the poem by elaborating on the idea of how everything is around him as he rows his boat.
