Dear friend,

◆ Answer -

Distance covered = 200 km

Displacement = 145.8 km

● Explanation -

[Refer to the diagram for diagrammatic representation of Rahul's journey.]

Total distance convered by Rahul is calculated by -

Distance = 25 + 50 + 50 + 75

Distance = 200 km

Total displacement of Rahul during this journey is calculated as -

Displacement = √[(25+50)^2 + (50+75)^2]

Displacement = √(75^2 + 125^2)

Displacement = √21250

Displacement = 145.8 km

Thanks for asking..
