This is an ASL prompt for speaking in class 9. You can say the following lines or something similar in your discussion for the prompt:
Candidate A: Well, that will be a very conflicting situation for me; passing by an injured kitten in critical condition needing medical attention and help! I will surely like to help it.
Candidate B: But how? You cannot miss your exam, can you?
Candidate A: No, I will not. I will weigh my options before deciding on what to do! If I decide to take a kitten to a vet, I may get late for my exams. If I leave the kitten dying, I will fail my conscience. Well there is an option that I can go for. I can call my dad or brother to come to the spot immediately and ask either of them to take the kitten to the vet.
Candidate B: Great idea! Yes it will do. You will neither miss the exams, nor will the kitten die.
Candidate A: Yes, you know the world of ours is full of problems only because everyone thinks that the other will do the action required. Especially the animals; they suffer a lot on account of man’s apathy.
Candidate B: Yes, I agree with you. With this attitude, nobody takes the action; and the problems remain unfixed. I must say I admire your decision making ability.
Candidate A: Our education teaches us to be proactively helpful to others including animals! What is the good of merely being good at academics and failing life's practical tests?
Candidate B: You are absolutely right. I completely agree with you!
