Answer:

Holi is celebrated 2 days on first days it is said that Hiranyakashipu the father of Prahlad tries to burn his son with the help of his sister holika because she got a magical cloth and anyone who wears it would not feel the heat of fire . So he plans that she would sit with Prahlad in fire and Prahlad would burnt out but the cloth flies to the head of Prahlad . Hence Prahlad life was saved and holika died . So on this day we burn our bad habits in that holy fire . On the next day we celebrate the win of good over evil by eating sweets and play with colours.
