on verifing ohms law , the pointer of voltmeter coincide with 15 th dimension whoose voltmeter has a least count of 0.05 volt. find the observed reading of volt meter

Least count of any device of measurement is the least reading it can take or measured by the device.

Thus, LC = Value in n divisions/ n

In this case LC = 0.05v and the pointer (n) is at 15th division.

Therefore, the observed reading of the voltmeter = 0.05 X 15 = 0.75 volts.

According to OHM's law. V=IR. where V is voltage, I is current and R is resistance.

So here, V=0.05 and coinciding resistance is 15. So I=V/R i.e. I = 15/0.05 i.e. 3000.

Resistance is the obstruction offered to the way of current. Its denoted by the greek symbol ohm.
