★On the Basis of Origin:-

Mainly divided into 2

Biotic Resources which are obtained from bio-sphere and have life. eg–>Humans, Flora, Fauna etc.

A-Biotic→ Resources which dont have life in them, and are included as Non-Living things. eg–>Minerals, Rocks etc.

★On the Basis of Exhaustibility:-

Renewable Resources→ Resources which never exhaust and replenish quickly or are created by physical, mechanical or chemical process. eg–> Solar and Wind Energy, etc.

★On the Basis of Development:-

Potential→ Resources which are found in a region, can be utilized but there isnt enough technology in the region to utilize it.eg–> Gujarat and Rajasthan have potential for Solar and wind Energy.

Developed Resources→ Resources which are surveyed and their quality & Quantity is determined for utilization, They are Currently used by Humans.eg–> Coal and Wood, etc.

Stock→ Resources which can be utilize but due to insufficient advancement in technology, we are unable to Utilize it. eg–>Extracting oxygen and Hydrogen from H²O[Water].

Reserve→ Resources which can be utilized with the help of technology, but are conserved for future generations. eg–> An army of a country has a lot of petrol, so they conserve it for war times to fuel the War machines.
