Initially there were only four divisions, which every body is aware of. Mahatma Gandhi, and other constitutional founders, made new groupings. Now the expansions of family structure, with surnames adds to the existing divisions. Initially it was considered as divisions of professions. But there are many professions, without labeling it as castes, such as, doctors, engineers and scientists. Most of the traditional professions, such as carpenters, barbers, painters are yet to take the shape of caste. it is an un-ending process, and never to complete. We are finding new reasons, to find or discover new castes, instead of trying to dispense with it. These are all new tactics of politics of democracy. We may have to tolerate it and live with it, till our nation reaches new heights, to dispense with it, or till the nation's political experts, discovers, a new system to enhance the welfare of its people, and nation's health.
