on what basis can we consider cell as an autonomous?

cells can be considered autonomous that they react to different conditions on their depending on the situation.. they repair damages , cure diseases , fight different viruses and bacterias and much more they are constantly repairing our body in micron levels which we can't comprehend.... as we grow old our body can't produce more cells to keep the process ongoing.. and if you wanna know more details then I can tell you that cells are like micro organisms that work together to supply energy to our body and balance ur internal conditions as they seem fit....well off course they don't know what they are doing but they it unconsciously lol.. if you wanna more read a biology book cause there is much more detail to it I tried to shrink it as much as I can

The cell is known as the autonomous unit of life because it canindependently carry out all the life activities necessary for its own survival. A cell has absolute independent existence.
