The process of obtaining silk from silkworm is called sericulture. The scientific name of moth is known as bombyx mori. A female moth lays around 500 eggs in one go and dies, those were very small in size. This eggs hatch in special chambers usually over maths , on beds of chopped mulberry leaves to get small worms.
