The number of standard times in a country can be decided,on the basis of the following things -

• The number of total local time zones present in a country is the first matter of consideration while determining the number of standard times of that country.

• Comparing with single standard time,if the time difference with the local times of the extreme points of that country is significant, then we need more than one standard time.

• The final number of the standard times should efficiently adjust with the local times of every region of that country and time differences should be minor.

And many more.
