Effects of Force. A force acting on an object causes the object to change its shape or size, to start moving, to stop moving, to accelerate or decelerate. When there's the interaction between two objects they exert a force on each other, these exerted forces are equal in size but opposite in direction.

The effect of force acting on an object depends on the surface area of the object on which the force is exerted. This is because of the pressure difference. Pressure is the force that is exerted per unit area. If the force is exerted on an object at a large surface area then the effect or the pressure experienced by the object is less while the force acting on a smaller surface area has an immense pressure on the object.
