The internal resistance of cell depends on the following factors :-

  1. Nature of electrolyte.
  2. Concentration of the electrolyte.
  3. Distance between the electrolytes.
  4. With the increase in common area of the electrodes, the internal resistance decrease.
  5. Temperature is inversely proportional to internal resistance.
