Given, amount will becomes 676 after 2 years.
e.g., A = 676 Rs.
time taken , n = 2 years
rate of interest , r = 4 % per annum.

use formula, A=P\left(1+\frac{r}{100}\right)^n

676 = P(1 + 4/100)²

676 = P(1 + 1/25)²

676 = P(26/25)²

676 = P × 26 × 26/(25 × 25)

676 = 676P/625

P = 625 Rs.

hence, principal is 625 Rs.

Here's , Your Answer ...

=) Given ,
Amount (A) = 676 Rs.

Time (n) = 2 years .

Rate (r) = 4% p.a

We know ,

A = P( 1 + r/100 ) ^n

=) 676 = P(1 + 4/100)^2

=) 676 = P(1 + 1/25)^2

=) 676 = P(26/25)^2

=) 676 = P × 26 × 26/(25 × 25)

=) 676 = 676 P /625

=) P = 625 Rs. (answer)
