Given:-

Rate (r) = 9% p.a.

Time (t) = 6 years

Simple Interest (si)= Rs. 810

To find:- Principal (p)

Solution:-

si \:  =  \frac{p \times r \times t}{100}

810 =  \frac{p \times 9 \times 6}{100}

p =  \frac{810 \times 100}{9 \times 6}

 p =  \frac{81000}{54}

p = Rs. 1500

Therefore, The sum or principal is Rs.1500

As per the data give in the above question.

It is given that rate of interest at 9%.

Year = 9 years,

SI is Rs.810

We have to find the sum of money.

Thus, the money lent can be calculated by formula of simple interest as follow,

SI=\frac{PRT}{100} \\SI\times 100=PRT\\\frac{SI\times 100}{RT}=P\\P=\frac{SI\times 100}{RT}

Substitute the value in above equation we get,

P=\frac{810\times100}{9 \times 6}\\\\P=\frac{81000}{54}\\P=Rs.1500

Hence the money lent is Rs.1500
