The pressure will always be higher on the convace side because it has to move away to cancel out the pressure force pushing it....

The pressure will always be higher on the concave side because it has to move away to cancel out the pressure force pushing it. It's the reason a clothesline hangs down. In that case, the force is caused by gravity.
