The ratio of plants of school A to school B = 41 : 29

Given:

Students of school A planted 615 trees

And rest of the trees were planted by school B

Total number of plants were 1050

To find:

The ratio of plants of school A to school B.

Solution:

Given total number of trees = 1050

Number of trees planted by School A = 615

Given rest of trees were planted by School B

⇒ Number of trees planted by School B

= Total No. of trees - No. of trees of school A

⇒ Number of trees planted by School B = 1050 - 615 = 435

The ratio of plants of school A to school B =

= 615 :  435

= 123 : 87   [ divided by 5 ]

=  41  : 29   [ divided by 3 ]

The ratio of plants of school A to school B = 41 : 29
