let....be........ your one friend that is absent on your birthday he or she is coming on your birthday...then

= you have 10 friends and 50 chocolate

= so firstly u can distribute 50 chocolate in your 10 friends...

= so if U distribute each of your friends 5 chocolate so it's calculated

= U have 10 friends than 10×5= 50 it's proved

= then........ your one friend is not coming on your birthday so u have left chocolate 50-no. of your friends coming and no.of chocolate distribution means......

then....50 - 45 = 5

so u have 5 chocolate left..........

I hope it's helpful for you dear......
